Meet Alec J. Booker, the owner and lead practitioner dedicated to empowering students with disabilities to reach their academic aspirations. Currently in his final year of a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Counselling, Alec combines his academic knowledge with a genuine passion for supporting individuals in overcoming challenges. His commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment makes a valuable ally for students striving to achieve their goals.
Our services are designed to provide comprehensive support for students with disabilities. As a Specialist Electronic Note Taker, we ensure that all essential is captured accurately during lectures, allowing students to focus on learning. Our Student Mentor program offers personalized guidance to help students navigate their academic journey, while our Academic Support Worker provides tailored assistance with coursework and study strategies. Additionally, our Sighted Guide service is dedicated to supporting students who are partially sighted or blind, ensuring they have the necessary assistance to thrive in their educational environment.
Alec J. Booker is also deeply committed to giving back to the community through his charity work He has actively supported organizations such as Mencap, which advocates for individuals with learning disabilities, and Campaign Against Living Miserably (Calm), focused on preventing male suicide. Additionally, Alec has contributed to Macmillan Cancer Support, providing vital assistance to those affected by cancer. His dedication to these causes reflects his passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others and inclusivity and well-being in society.
In 2024 I decided that it was time to put my skills and services to good use. So, I started my very first company AJB-Academics. And here we are today.
